Setting up a child-theme did not work

Martin	I set up a child theme like described in the documentation. Then made some tests related to the function.php and the style.css . I could not see any changes. Also the settings made in the child theme can be saved - but then get lost. Any idea? Thanks a lot and kind regards Martin

Martin	Hi, I did not try anything special. Just did the setting up. Have chosen the chrild-theme. WP accepted everything. I can even get a preview. When I activate the child-theme, then I can not save the settings and I have to set them again. This to me is strange – better when the child theme would overtake the settings from the previous set dokan theme automatically.

Martin	I did a clean install on an other domain. The child theme works there. Now i try to delete and rebuild some tables in the database.
