Paypal Adaptive setup

You don’t need to join Paypal Payment Pro. If you want to test adaptive payment using sandbox then App ID is not necessary but for live you must need App ID. what do I check for 3rd Party PermissionsRequest users grant you permission to make API calls on their behalf?

I am a bit confused. I got my LIVE APP ID from http://apps.paypal.com and clicked on classic api apps. I am not sure where I get the App Username, App Password and App Signature from? In my paypal account it says API username, API password, etc. is that the same thing?

I am getting an error when processing a payment.

What is your paypal account status? make sure its a Premier or Business account.

Also, did you apply for your Paypal Adaptive account? and got approved? Is yes, then you should know what is your app ID. It provides by paypal.

Then, go to Profile -> Account Information -> Request API credentials

Get your API details.

I have read the documentation and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I got the app approved at apps.paypal.com and grabbed my APP ID from there. I logged into my paypal account MY SETTING TOOLS–> API ACCESS (View API Signature) and grabbed the API Username, Password and signature. I entered all that information in my dokan adaptive plugin and all I get is an invalid transaction when processing a transaction.. The account is a verified business as well. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know if you have figured this out yet but I finally got some answers from paypal. They said if you go to this link then this is the information you input in the plugin for App Username, App Password, and App Signature.

Then you go to this link to create and/or get your AppID once it is completely registered, which should take about 7 days they said.

But there is an issue with the pay key that I just posted about apparently. :/ So confusing! 🙂

i got my APP-ID from going to apps.paypal.com and just registering for parallel. I decided to use this for my store. It automatically approved my application with no waiting.

Also, wedevs gave an update for paypal adaptive so be sure to update to that as well. Let me know once you get your APP-ID approved.

I had a look at the new app form and it is very confusing!

@Jason, have you downloaded new version? if not, then download it from your Dashboard and re-install it.

Really confusing, I’m getting frustrated.

I’m simply not getting through the sandbox testing phase. I get the same error as Jay.

I can’t even test with my sandbox account. I think Wedevs team should create a simple straight forward tutorial on how to create the paypal app, where to apply for a paypal adaptive app, where to get sandbox info, how to setup everything and get things up and running.

Please go to this link ( https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/applications/accounts ) to create sand box account and you will get API keys of the account by account’s profile (business account). personal account don’t need API key.
