Mahi Hi, rather than entering a new post, I just added to Vinesh's early questions, which seems similar to my concern. Whichever of the two trails receive an answer is fine. First, thanks for creating such a great product. I purchased a short domain name so that the customer’s name can be right after it. Insertion of /store/ after the url is a bit disconcerting for that reason. I would like for it be "mydomain.com/you" rather than "mydomain.com/store/you" Can I fix this some place in the code? If I need to hire help to create custom code, would you be able to at least refer me to the general area the call to a store is made? Also, when I click on a product to edit from within my dashboard, I can’t get into the product details page and am redirected to my address page “/edit-address/” If you have heard this as being a bug before and know the answer, great. Otherwise, I will try a fresh reinstall to be sure anything I did wasn't causing it. Joanne

Firstly, you can’t change the url like you wanted due to some reasons. There are lots of urls in WordPress and they work in different way. The store url is solely done by Dokan theme itself and it recognises the store by having the exact url structure. Otherwise it won’t work.

What permalink structure for products you are using? If you are not using category base in the product permalink, it should just work fine.

Thank you, Tareq. Hmm. Do you suppose there’d be a way of at least doing a global search of “store” and replacing it with the shorter name, “shop” if a separate directory is really essential?

Second. I suspect you don’t support sub.domain.com support, whereby a customer can get their own domain user.mysite.com ?

In response to your suggestion, are you saying that I should be careful to not use a category-based permalink structure?

Thanks,
Joanne

Hi Tareq,

FYI, I was able to figure out why clicking on “Product Detail” from the products page, on front end dashboard went to the wrong page (edit-address). First, I did several clean WP installs to rule out any plugin issues. Then, I finally got it right! 🙂

Under Permalinks, “Product Permalinks” section, I needed to add the following base link:

/shop

Cheers,

Joanne

Hi! just when I thought I had it all figured out–the fresh reinstalls made me realize the site works without the Multi-Site plugin, tool! Is this the preferred way or can I keep the current Multi-Site plugin install on my other site? Are there known issues for it interfering or is it helpful in any way?

Hello Joanne,

Glad to know you found the solution your self. Dokan doesn’t require multi-site functionality. It allows your users to have their own shop with in one WordPress site.
