Checkboxes don't save in database same way as creating on the back end

| Nayem | When I create an entry on the frontend form from WPUF, the checkbox data is saved as a list delimited with '|' pipes. However, when I view the entry on the backend, those checkboxes are not identified as checked. When I look at the meta-keys, I see that data created through the backend form are saved in a serialized way.
How can I get the front-end form checkboxes and backend form checkboxes to work together?
