MailChimp
A- A+
The MailChimp add-on for WP User Frontend Pro allows you to seamlessly subscribe new users to your MailChimp lists during registration. You can also enable double opt-in confirmation emails to comply with GDPR and user consent best practices.
Step 1: Activate the MailChimp Module
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to: User Frontend → Modules
- Locate MailChimp in the list.
- Enable the module by toggling the switch in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Connect to Your MailChimp Account
- Go to User Frontend → MailChimp tab.
- Paste your MailChimp API key into the input field.
- Click Save Settings.
- Once connected, your available MailChimp lists will appear.
Step 3: Configure Your Registration Form
When creating or editing a Registration Form:
- Open the form builder.
- Go to the MailChimp tab in the form settings.
- Check Enable MailChimp.
- Choose the MailChimp List you want users to be added to.
- (Optional) Enable Double Opt-In if you want users to confirm their subscription via email.
Step 4: Add Conditional Opt-In (Optional but Recommended)
To comply with GDPR and give users control over subscription:
- In your registration form, add a Radio Field (e.g., “Subscribe to our newsletter?” with options Yes/No).
- Click the gear icon ⚙️ to edit the field.
- Set the appropriate labels and values.
- Go to the Form Settings → MailChimp → Conditional Logic.
- Enable Conditional Logic and set it to trigger MailChimp only if the user selects “Yes”.
✅ This allows users to explicitly consent to being added to your MailChimp list.
Step 5: Save Your Form
Once everything is configured:
- Click Save Form.
- Publish your registration form on any page using its shortcode.
Now, when users register using this form, they’ll be added to your MailChimp list based on your settings and their opt-in preference.
